|
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have
passed away; behold, all things have become new. |
As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
|
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10and you are
complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. |
|
No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what
his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that
I heard from My Father I have made known to you. |
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work
in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; |
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live,
but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live
by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. |
|
But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. |
These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. |
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. |
|
Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. |
And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. |
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything
according to His will, He hears us. 15And if we know that He hears us,
whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked
of Him. |
|
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.
And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and
manifest Myself to him. |
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Fathers commandments and abide in His love. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. |
though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. |
|
that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may
have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and
with His Son Jesus Christ. |
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the end of the earth. |
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; |
|
3for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God |
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. |
They have all turned aside; |
|
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment |
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned |
|
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. |
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit |
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures |
