On this page we will list books which we recommend for your spiritual growth. There are more books available than any of us will ever be able to read. The modern Christian book store is loaded with titles. The man who wants to grow as a Christian and teach other to do the same must be discriminating in his choice of books. Not all books calling labeled as Christian give the proper place to the Bible as the only authoritative source of faith and practice. Not all books give the proper place to Jesus Christ as man's only hope of salvation or to God as the only source of that salvation. Many books are designed to appeal to our felt needs and to gloss over our real need. As Jeremiah 6:14 says, "They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, (superficially), saying, 'Peace, peace!' When there is no peace." The needs of God's people are great. We must not look to the superficial for the remedy.
The books listed here are valuable in that they will help you develop a proper biblical world view. They will help you get a better grasp of who God is as the only Lord and Savior. They will help you get to the root causes of the problems of life and deal with them at that level. It is not likely that any of us will agree with everything written in these books, but we offer this list to you for your spiritual edification and instruction trusting God the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself to you as His Word is taught through these writings.
